These are our current offerings of
the fresh-roasted specialty coffees. For descriptions
of these and other coffees, go here.
Currently we carry Sumatra
Mandheling (but not from the Gayo region), the Mesa de los Santos Colombia
estate of Oswaldo Acevedo, and an Ethiopia Harar that this
month is from Limu. In about a month, I expect to get a
natural Sidamo that has gotten rave reviews from our broker.
Fair trade coffees this month are
the Deaf Mexico, the Ethiopia Limu, and French Roast which we
make from a Nicaragua Segovia.
In decaf, we are for the time
being using Royal Coffee's Royal Select water process, which, though a
tad below CO2, is quite good for a water processed decaf and certainly
is far better than Swiss. I think I'll just list it as Decaf,
and simply vary the origins as they become available. The bad news is that
the Sumatra is gone; the good news is the Mexico is less expensive.
We continue the process of
"resetting" our company, as a fellow roaster put it. We
are still finally, actually, and really switching to all organic
coffees. Real Soon Now we will get on with USDA National
Organic Standards certification through the North Carolina Crop
Improvement Association.
The price list is available also as a PDF file
